About

Leigh DeLozier is an unapologetic encourager who has finally accepted that some people might always see her positive outlook as naïve or silly rather than what it truly is: the gift of encouragement that’s mentioned in Romans 12:8. She’s learning to embrace the gift and use it to build up others through her writing, speaking, and face-to-face interactions.

author Leigh DeLozierIt’s no surprise that Leigh became a writer, considering her schoolteacher mom taught her to read well before preschool. She’s been playing with words ever since.

By day, Leigh is a corporate writer and editor for an Atlanta university. By night, she’s the author of faith-based articles and blog posts and a clean fiction book reviewer.

She began her Christian writing with devotions, which led to her authoring two devotional books with Extreme Diva Media in 2006 and 2008: one for work-from-home moms and the other for girls. She also wrote a devotional book for Barbour Publishing as a freelance project (3 Minute Devotions for Moms) and has contributed to devotional anthologies, websites, and newsletters.

Whether Leigh is writing a devotion, blog post, or article, her goal is to write what God plants in her heart and share messages of encouragement and hope. She always wants her words to bring Him glory, whatever format they might take or whoever the audience might be.

Leigh has a degree in journalism with a double emphasis in print media and public relations. She is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers and Word Weavers International, and a graduate of the Proverbs 31 Ministries She Speaks training program.

She and her husband live in Georgia, where they’re adjusting to life as emptynesters. Their son is a recent college graduate and their daughter is in nursing school. The only “child” still at home is Morris, an 11-year-old orange cat who tolerates them when they’re all indoors but runs away as soon as they step outside.
