About Leigh

Leigh DeLozierLike every other person in the world, I fill lots of different roles: wife, mom, daughter, friend … corporate writer and editor by day, Christian writer by night.

My mom taught me to read so early in life that I truly don’t remember even learning. It’s just always been part of who I am, just like writing. I write because I can’t not write. That may sound strange to a lot of folks, but rings true for me.

I started my Christian writing with devotionals and still enjoy putting those short lessons to paper when I have the chance. I’ve authored two devotional books with Extreme Diva Media that were so fun to write and market (visit my book page to learn more). I also wrote a devotional book for Barbour Publishing as a freelance project (3 Minute Devotions for Moms) and have contributed to devotional anthologies, websites, and newsletters.

In addition to devotional writing, I’ve learned a lot about writing fiction during the past several years. Writing something meaningful always takes more work than most readers realize – and even then, no author ever “arrives” and knows everything. I learn new things all the time and hope that all the work and late nights and oodles of words on pages pay off with more books on the store shelf or pieces online one day. A girl’s gotta dream, right? As C.S. Lewis said, “You’re never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”

That’s what I hold to.

Whether I’m writing fiction or nonfiction, my goal is to write the stories that God plants in my heart and help share messages of encouragement and hope through my writing and speaking. My dream is that my words will always bring Him glory, whatever format they might take or whoever the audience might be.

If you’re looking for some extra bits of encouragement in your life, I would be honored if you subscribed to my blog or e-newsletter (when you sign up for my e-news you’ll even get a free download of 75 Clean Fiction Authors Worth Reading as my thanks). Thanks so much for stopping by!

In Christ,

Leigh
